Bypass the attack on Wikileaks

21/02/2008 – 10:25

Wikileaks.org is under attack, with the DNS entries being removed. You can still access the site from a number of alternate domains (such as http://www.wikileaks.be/wiki/Wikileaks) or by changing to non-US controlled DNS servers (OpenDNS etc).

Newsbin speed-up tip with large queues

20/02/2008 – 01:38

Today I queued up a lot of stuff in Newsbin, and it started using a lot of CPU time and downloading slower than normal. Project Chanology – The War on Scientology

05/02/2008 – 13:08

Don’t believe it? Here is a BBC video. [...]

UK ID card "coercion"

02/02/2008 – 19:13

An allegedly leaked document from the Passport Service shows that the government intends to use “coercion” to get people to sign up for an ID card. While this isn’t news per-se, as we knew they would anyway, it is probably the first time they have actually admitted it. Typical tactics will include requiring people to [...]
